SIPB Petrock

Petrock is a service that allows your sites to log users in with their MIT account via Touchstone.  Petrock is intended as an alternative to IS&T's now defunct OpenID Connect Pilot and intended to be more accessible than CSAIL's Shimmer or setting up a Shibboleth server.

The Petrock microcomputer with googly eyes.

The Petrock service is named after the ROC-RK3328-CC microcomputer that it originally ran on in the SIPB server room.  As more clients have signed up for the service, the ROC's SD card became a limiting factor for speed, and we migrated to a dedicated VM.

See the About page for documentation on enabling your site or service.
